Resources at University of Maryland, College Park:

  1. Current graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Maryland College Park should contact the Counseling Center in Shoemaker Hall for services: www.counseling.umd.edu.

  2. The Counseling Center also provides psychological services for a nominal fee for children, adolescents, and parents through the UPCCES, a campus-wide service to University-connected families, children, and adolescents with problems of learning, achievement, or adjustment. Contact Dr. Beth S. Warner, 301-314-7673 or bwarner1@umd.edu.

  3. The Psychology Clinic provides sliding-fee scale services for children, adolescents, and adults. They provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy for depression, academic problems, family discord, anger management, relationship/marital problems, dealing with grief and loss, problems with stress and coping, and child behavioral and emotional problems, as well as psychological assessment.   4. The Center for Healthy Families also sees couples and families. They are housed in the Department of Family Science.
